There is no such thing as true coffee.

Last week at my ex-favorite coffee shop, one of the baristas remembered my name, and I didn't know theirs. They didn't have the common courtesy of wearing a name tag to save me the humiliation of asking their name and worse -- pretending to care. There I was, tapping my finger on my forehead, repeating their name audibly so that they would be convinced I wouldn't forget next time, as if to say "I really should go to the doctor and have my brain checked. How could I have forgotten?" I was so upset, I would have stormed out if I hadn't asked for a porcelain mug for-here -- you know, to help the environment?

I thought this coffee shop would be the one. I thought we could grow old together. But now, I am left abandoned, and coffee shop-less. Sorry to talk about my ex so much -- hahaha...  I am such a nerd. We weren't together long. I'm totally single now.

So this blog, I guess, it's a dating blog for coffee shops, to jot down my thoughts as I get back into the coffee dating world. I don't think I'm very picky. I like mochas and macchiatos and espressos. I don't mind if you spell espresso with an "x". It's kind of cute the way some coffee shops say it ...  expresso...

I hope my family will post here too, with their own dissatisfied experiences in coffee shops all over.
